Our advisory board is made up of passionate individuals from all walks of the fashion industry, and each will serve as a mentor to our designers and advise our executive team on key issues facing the industry in their individual fields.
Richard Johnson relocated from London to LA earlier this year to take the post of Chief Operating Officer at Horiyoshi The Third, a Tokyo & LA based luxury fashion label. Formerly Head of Buying at world renowned retailer Harvey Nichols for eight years and a regular face at the international catwalk shows, Richard brings a wealth of fashion retail experience to LAFC. During his time on the British Fashion Council he mentored many of the UK’s up and coming design talents and contributed to the development of London Fashion Week in it’s mission to become a serious contender to the Paris and Milan shows.
N. Jayne Seward is the fashion editor for California Apparel News. She produces and styles the fashion shoots and covers trends, designers, events and fashion weeks in Los Angeles, New York and Miami. The job has also taken her beyond borders to Australia, Brazil, Israel, China and France to cover international fashion weeks and events. In addition, she writes her own blog VeryVeryChic.com and has contributed as a writer and stylist to top publications including BritishVogue.com, Style.com, Surface, 160Grams and Ocean Drive.
She is a member of the Motion Picture Costumers Union and has worked on projects as varied as “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” Ringling Brothers Circus, “Days of Our Lives” and Pepsi. Living by the motto “fashion is drama,” she channels a cinematic flair into fashion.
Erin Weinger is the co-founder and publisher of StyleSectionLA.com. Erin was a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times Image section, where she had a weekly column highlighting retail happenings in Los Angeles. After leaving the Times, she spent a short time consulting on new media projects for L.A.-based fashion public relations firm SPR, strategizing the social media campaigns for accounts including The Grove and The Way We Wore.
Erin also speaks on various media, tech and fashion trend panels at the likes of FIDM and the California Market Center, and in February, 2011 appeared on a Business of Blogging panel at WWDMagic in Las Vegas, where she was chosen as one of 30 correspondents to cover the apparel trade show as part of the Teen Vogue Bloggers Lounge.
She consults on digital content strategy for apparel brands including Anna Catherine, has done corporate copywriting for Gilt City and assisted Melissa Magsaysay with research on her book, “City of Style: Exploring Los Angeles Fashion from Bohemian to Rock,” which was published by Harper Collins in May, 2012. Her writing has appeared in Entrepreneur, Style.com, Elle.com, Time Out Chicago, Angeleno, InStyle.com, PAPER, Antenna, The Hollywood Reporter, Palm Springs Life, Riviera, Departures and Los Angeles Magazine.

After a big move from Razorback County this Southern Bell found her home here in Los Angles. During her extensive travels and a semester abroad in Italy, Megyn solidified her love of fashion. Having received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Arkansas, Megyn began working as a Personal Banker for Bank of America. Knowing one day she needed to be a part of the industry she fell in love with in college, she went back to school at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising receiving her degree in Apparel Industry Management.
Megyn currently holds the role of Business Development Officer for Merchant Factors where she is able to combine her passion for fashion, apparel industry experience, and financial acumen. In addition, Megyn also writes a fashion blog called “I Want It Fashion,” where she comments on events, shows, brands, and happenings within the fashion world.
Sarah Pollack is the founder of acclaimed event series, Simply Stylist. Having worked hand in hand with the world’s top stylists, editors and fashion bloggers for over 9 years. She has helped dress countless A-list celebrities and has been featured as a style
expert in various media outlets such as Fox, E!, Entrepreneur Magazine, KTLA and more. The most rewarding aspect of her career is connecting people, especially designers, stylists and celebrities.
Sarah, an East Coast native, currently lives with her husband and her Morkie puppy, Sofi, in Los Angeles.
